NORTH SOMERSET: Young Peoples' Rights and Participation

Audience:
Multiagency - Open to Professionals (not parents/carers)

Facilitator: Helen & Gemma from the North Somerset Team, Off the Record (Bristol)

We will be exploring how to encourage young people's engagement and participation in well-being offers, through looking at OTR's ethos and the 4 Cs: choice, consent, confidentiality and complaints. We will explore how these principles can be applied in your work with young people, so as to empower young people to make their own choices with regards to their mental health.

Cancellations must be made at least ten working days before the event. Cancellations made after this time, and non-attendance will be charged £50.

This course will take place online and is free to attend.

Event Outcomes:

By the end of the session the participants will have a broader understanding of why we do things the way we do at OTR, and the importance of doing things with young people, rather than for them. Participants will also have the chance to hear and share practical ways of increasing young people's participation.
